| マロニエの 花咲き盛る パリの街 汝かもてなしに ― 遊ふ日々 今懐かしや 君去りて 再び夢の ― セーヌ川 モンマルトルの 丘の上 夕陽を始め ― シャンゼリゼ ノートルダムの 聳ゆ街 ネオンも共に ― かなふまし されといつしか 汝か眠る 奥津城詣て ― 在りし日の 思ひ出共に 語るへし、 今は涙に ― 打ち伏するとも 反歌 マロニエと セーヌ流るゝ 夢のパリ ああ懐かしや 君住みし街 |
The news of your death/ reminded me of walking/ together with you/ along the streets of Paris,/ ― where horse chestnuts bloom./ It was also our pleasure/ to recite tanka/ to you set to some music/ ― in our recital./ I hope to visit the grave,/ inside which you sleep,/ to talk together with you,/ ― even if I couldn't/ walk along the Seine River/ but from the famous,/ Montmartre could watch the sun/ ― and the neon lights,/ “Avenue des Champs Elysees”/ and the Notre-Dome/ Abbey in your town, Paris,/ ― as if we were in/ an unforgettable dream,/ I had of Paris,/ however disappointed/ ― with your unexpected death. hanka How dear Paris is!/ which you loved and lived within./ How dear the dream town,/ which the Seine River runs through/ and horse chestnuts are abloom! |

It is a long time,/ today, since you passed away:/ it reminds me of/ the grove, Bois de Boulogue, where/ ― many spotbill ducks/ were swimming with their ducklings/ in a pond, at which/ I looked for a long while with you./ ― It reminds me of / the town, in which “Avenue/ des Champs Elysees”/ runs through especially its/ ― neon sign and lights,/ Notre-Dame Abbey rises/ as we talked and walked/ along the Seine River or/ ― on that famous hill/ Montmartre to look around,/ even if I couldn't/ walk along and look with you./ ― As it is today/ your death anniversary,/ I recall the street/ where I walked along with you/ ― and the abbey which we viewed. hanka On the mourning day/ today, I recall clearly/ spotbill ducks swimming/ in the grove, Bois de Boulogue,/ I watched together with you. |
